Gorgeous, 1920s black silk flapper dress with (2) layers of silk fringe.
Bodice has a scalloped neckline, an added modesty panel and velvet bow. The tail of the bow has been stitched across the neckline to act as a modesty panel. The additional modesty panel is velveteen with a blue edge at the neckline (now faded), likely added at a later time.
Scalloped sleeves that turn into straight long sleeves; velvet caps/capes to shoulders; (3) pairs of snaps at wrists.
The skirt has two layers of silk fringe with an 18" slit at right side.
Original belt with gorgeous Nile blue glass and rhinestones.
Snap closures at left side with original, attached belt; slips over head and shoulders.
Intended to be worn loose, this best fits a Small. Measurements are taken flat, doubled as necessary. These are garment measurements and you need to allow room for movement.
Sleeve Length 16" from armpit
Very good condition - minor/light fade; faded creases to inside elbows; some stress at seams; possible pin hole here or there; small chip to blue glass at buckle. This has not been cleaned. The sleeves, shoulder capes and modesty panels could easily be removed to restore this to the original design.
