Gorgeous 1950's party dress in a purple taffeta. Classic silhouette with a fitted, lined bodice; V-neck with an empire waist and princess seaming; piping outline around busts. Gathered waist with a full swing skirt; interior waist belt of grosgrain ribbon. Three-quarter length sleeves with ribbon bows at cuffs. Darts at bust line, waist and back; metal zipper at back with hook and eye closures at neck. Labelled inside: "Clothes for You" designed by Madeleine Fauth.
Best fits an extra small. Garment measurements are taken flat; doubled as necessary. You must allow room for movement.

Excellent condition. There are a few, tiny pin holes in the skirt; the bottom hem was let out as were the sleeves at the forearms (see last photo) - both can be restitched. Two small mends (hand sewn) to each side of bodice at waist - these should be redone.
