Hard to find, deadstock 1950's velvet corset dress and bolero.
Constructed of cotton velvet in navy blue; taffeta facings in similar color at garment edges.
Knotted, corset bodice with low-cut neckline, probably intended to be worn with a blouse, much like a dirndl.
Gathered skirt with attached, self-fabric belt and buckle (buckles at the back).
Dress slips over head and shoulders; metal zipper at left side.
Bolero is a crop style with short dolman sleeves; hook & eye closure at neck.

Margaret O'Brien was an early child star in the 1940s.
Best fits an extra small. Garment measurements are taken flat; doubled as necessary. You must allow room for movement.
Length just under 14"
Near Mint/Excellent condition. Unworn - This has not been cleaned. Dress and Bolero are different sizes.
Some grazing to the back of the bolero at the hem on both front and back; a couple of loose seams. I do not see any crushing to the velvet.
